Marshall Health Network hosts book drive and fundraiser to support Project Hope for Women & Children
Monday, April 21, 2025
Project Hope for Women & Children invites the community to support its mission by donating gently used books throughout the month of April. Book drop-off locations include the information desk at the Marshall University Medical Center Atrium, in front of the Cabell Huntington Hospital Gift Shop, and hear the St. Mary's Medical Center Gift Shop. Donations will be accepted through April. 30.
The book drive is part of the lead-up to Hope Blooms 2025: A Chapter in My Story, Project Hope's annual fundraiser, taking place at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Marshall Health Network Arena in Huntington. This year's book-themed brunch and fashion show will celebrate the program's impact and raise critical funds that support women working toward recovery from substance use disorder while working to build brighter futures for their families.
Donated books will help create an onsite library for the women and children served by Project Hope. Additional books will be offered for donation during a book sale at Hope Blooms, with any remaining titles donated to local libraries and community organizations.
Whether through book donations or attending Hope Blooms, community members can help bring hope, healing and opportunity to those on the path to recovery. Sponsorships and tickets for Hope Blooms are available at mhnfoundations.org/initiatives/hope-blooms. For more information, contact 304.696.HOPE.
